I believe Open type fonts are nothing more than an Adobe postscript font converted to TTF. Perchance, do you know of a better font manager that is also free, one that can do the two tasks iterated above that BFN v6 cannot do? Continue installing fonts anyway?" That message was undoubtedly intended for W9x systems. This number of installed fonts can impact system and application performance. V6 does remove, when attempting to install new fonts, the outdated warning message of "More than 400 fonts will be installed in Windows. V6 still does not give me a count of the fonts in the catalog, although it does so for the installed fonts as does v2.Īlso, while both v2 and v6 will show duplicates of fonts and where they are located, there is no facility to remove those unneeded duplicates. That is disappointing, as I would have thought the latest and greatest would have a number of new useful features. However, other than a toolbar link to, I do not see any difference between v2 (1997) and v6. Yes, from that website, I downloaded the CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5 trial, with which to gain access to the Bitstream Font Navigator v6. While the demo of Draw is limited, the suite includes a copy of FN that isn't. Someone, Michael Rowley I think, mentioned that you could download a demo of the Corel Draw suite. Any chance you've got a copy on your WP8 CDs? Or is WP8 pre-Corel?
